Jacqueline Evon Hansen, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, was surrounded by family and close friends when she passed away on December 6, 2009 at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah at the age of 56.


 


Jacque was born on February 14, 1953 in Holbrook, Arizona to Glen and Nova Reidhead. She married her best friend and soul-mate, Francis Clair Hansen on March 13, 1971 in Santa Clara, Oregon and together they had 4 children to whom they were sealed in the St. George LDS temple on December 12, 1979.


 


She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She especially enjoyed her time serving in the nursery, primary and as a visiting teacher in various wards. Those with whom she served alongside in her church callings always became her dearest friends.


 


Her greatest joy was her family. She treasured her children, adored her grandchildren and her thoughts were continually of them. She could often be found in her well-stocked craft room making gifts with and for her family and friends.


 


She is survived by her husband, Clair Hansen of Cedar City, UT, and her children, Scott of Salt Lake City, UT, Stacey Larson( Jeremy) of St George, UT, Stephen (Brenda) of Cedar City, UT, Andrew of Cedar City UT, her grandchildren, Connor, Natasha, Bethany Evon, Garrett, Ethan, Mariah, Shayla, Kira Jean, and Dillon. She is also survived by her parents, Glen and Nova Reidhead, her brother, Melvin (Lynn), and her sisters Candace( Jesse), Deena, 4 nephews and 3 nieces, all of Eugene, OR.


 


There will be a viewing on Wednesday, December 9th from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the LDS Canyon View Stake Center in Cedar City with the funeral beginning at 11:00. Graveside services will follow at the Cedar City Cemetery.


 


The family would like to thank her primary care physician, Dr. Bruce Hendrix of Cedar City, UT, all of the medical professionals at Valley View Medical Center and Kolob Regional Care Center in Cedar City, UT and Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, UT. The family would especially like to thank her rheumatologist, Dr. Richard Call, of Provo, UT who provided more than 20 years of compassionate care.
