Robert E. Moore


 


Robert was born in Kansas City, Missouri and later adopted by Edwin and Clara Moore. He passed away with his wife, Bedonna, in Beaver, Utah.


 


Robert graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in 1951 and joined the Air Force in the same year. His duties included fighting in the Korean War. Robert retired as a Master Sergeant in 1971. Robert and his wife, Bedonna, were wedded on April 6, 1974. The two lived in Utah, California, Texas, New Mexico and retired in Colorado.


 


After retiring from the Air Force, Robert worked for Carrier Air Conditioning for 20 years. During his semi-retirement, he was employed at Avis Car Rental and drove the company bus to Denver International Airport.


 


Robert enjoyed watching and attending NASCAR events, rooting for his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt Sr. He also liked to travel, read, bowl, play cards, play around with his dogs and spend time with his family, friends and neighbors.


 


He is survived by his son, Dave Moore and wife Susan of Littleton; son, Robert Moore and wife Nancy of Loveland; daughter, Chris Moore of Lakewood; step-daughter Melanie Shileikis and husband Mike of Saugus, Cali.; six grandchildren: Jenn, Dave, Amanda, Charlie, Hannah and Alicia; and a host of great friends.


 


A joint military ceremony will be held 12:15 p.m. Jan. 15 at Ft. Logan Cemetery, 4400 W Kenyon Ave. in Denver. A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Jan. 16 at Riverwalk Clubhouse, 2751 W. Riverwalk Cr. in Littleton.


 


The family is asking in lieu of flowers, making a donation to a charitable organization, such as the Wounded Warrior Project, any dog shelter or animal rescue organization or the Rocky Mountain Flight for Veterans.
